"Countless hours of volunteering and personal sacrifice in the land of Icarus and Daedalus"

In Greece, 90 aeroclubs with 30,000 members and 4,000 pilots, dedicated to volunteerism and social contribution, continue to strive to demonstrate to the government that, in the country of Icarus and Daedalus, they deserve to be included within the State's privileges.

According to Nikos Makrakis, President of the Hellenic Air Sports Federation, fire protection flights, patrols, and involvement in search and rescue operations are driven by personal finances and passion, with very few exceptions, as he mentioned to Radio 98.4.

The Ministries of National Defense and Infrastructure and Transport, along with the General Secretariat of Sports, are missing, particularly when compared to other countries, especially neighboring ones with enviable services.
